DUDE. TODAY IS TOWEL DAY!
def. of Towel Day (taken from the first paragraph in
Wikipedia):
Towel Day is celebrated every
May 25 as a
tribute by fans of the late author
Douglas Adams.
[1] The commemoration was first held in 2001, two weeks after his
death on
May 11,
2001.
[2] On this day, fans carry a
towel with them during the day to demonstrate their participation and mourning of the author. The towel is a reference to Adams's popular
science fiction comedy series
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
The crazy thing is, I'm going to an oboe lesson. With the towel (of which, YES, I am wearing right now). Man, that is going to be so hilarious. And I want to go to the movie theater. YEAH BABY. I will laugh my ass off at everyone's expressions.
Yah. So I'm excited. WEAR A TOWEL RIGHT NOW PEOPLES!
Second matter: I went to Cedar Point on Friday. That was wickedly fun. The Top Thrill Dragster at night is completely awesome. Bad thing, though, is that during the trip, I sat on a bus for 8 hours, marched for an hour, RAN around the park a billion times, WALKED around the park even more, my legs got BANGED up on the rides... They hurt a lot now. A TON. Probably need some casts on them if this keeps up.
Anyways. Happy Towel Day everybody!
